Terms of Use

Sensory Budget · Last updated 17 September 2026

Sensory Budget is a planning app. It estimates how demanding your day is likely to be, so you can decide what to change. These are the terms you agree to by using it.

Not medical advice

Sensory Budget is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything. It does not tell you whether you are autistic, have ADHD, or have any other condition, and nothing you tell it about yourself changes a number it shows you — your own answers do that.

Its estimates are a planning aid built from your calendar, your ratings and, if you allow it, sleep and activity data. They are guesses about a day, not clinical measurements. Do not use them in place of advice from a doctor or therapist, and never delay seeking help because of something this app showed you.

If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services.

The licence

Sensory Budget is distributed through the App Store and licensed to you, not sold. Your use is governed by Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement, which applies in full and is the licence this app ships under. These terms sit alongside it and cover the things specific to Sensory Budget. Where the two genuinely conflict, Apple’s agreement wins.

Your account

You need an account, so that your history survives a new phone and your subscription belongs to you rather than to a device. You sign in with Apple or with Google, and you are responsible for keeping access to that sign-in.

Signing in does not switch on syncing. What the app stores and sends is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

What we ask of you

What we can and cannot promise

We work hard to make the estimates useful and the app dependable, but we cannot promise that it will be accurate for your particular day, available without interruption, or free of defects. The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited by law — including consumer rights in your country, which vary and which these terms do not override.

Ending it

You can stop using Sensory Budget at any time, delete everything from inside the app, and cancel your subscription in Settings. We may suspend access if the service is being abused in a way that harms others or the service itself.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, the app will say so before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
